A project or contract position
Fully remote: working with a UK-based team at Mind the Product .
The podcast producer owns production, strategy and distribution for The Product Experience and Now Shipping, and is responsible for growing both. The role is a fixed-term contract of two to three days a week, reporting to the Head of Content for Mind the Product and Pendo.
The Product Experience is MTP's interview podcast. Now Shipping is a weekly AI news show for product people, hosted by MTP co-founder Mike Belsito.
**What you'll do
Set the podcast strategy. Write a plan for each show with its audience, formats, targets and the numbers you will report against.
- Own the distribution plan. Decide where each episode goes, which clips to cut and how the YouTube channel is run. Agree the plan with MTP's social channels and YouTube and publishes and promotes the content.
- Work with co-hosts to keep a pipeline of confirmed guests several weeks ahead.
- Run production for both shows.
- Sign off on finished editing episodes.
- Work with the hosts, including Mike Belsito on Now Shipping, so episodes are prepared and recorded to schedule.
- Report monthly on growth against the scorecard Louron owns.
**What you'll bring
Experience producing a podcast with video, ideally an interview show and a news-led show, and growing its audience.
- A track record booking guests and keeping a pipeline ahead of the schedule.
- Working knowledge of YouTube, clips and audio distribution, and how each drives growth.
- Editorial judgement. Now Shipping is news-led, so you can pick the stories that matter to a product manager.
- Analytics literacy. You set targets and read the numbers without being told what they mean.
- Experience working with hosts and editors, and the confidence to set priorities across two shows.
- Familiarity with product management or SaaS audiences is useful.
Terms and how we'll hire
- Day rate: £315
- Permanent contract, two to three days a week, with a review at six months. Working days are agreed up front and stay fixed.
- Reports to Louron Pratt. A gradual handover of production from Louron over the first weeks.
- Location and working pattern: Flexible
