Salary range: £40,000 to £45,000 (yearly rate) - subject to experience

ROLE DESCRIPTION

As Message Heard’s newest full-time in-house producer, you’ll be tasked with producing an exciting show for some high profile talent, as well as supporting productions on both the branded and editorial sides of the business. Your primary focus will be producing a show which interviews thought leaders, scientists, and intellectuals who are shaping the future and transforming our culture.

This is why we’re looking for a producer with a minimum of 2+ years of experience who can apply a broad range of thinking and creativity to projects of any sort! We’re looking for a very personable producer who is able to prioritise and adapt to last minute schedule changes, including being available for possible late recording times, and who will embrace working on or supporting the teams working across our editorial slate. The ideal candidate will have experience with in-person recordings, as well as with scripting, audio editing and talent management. MH has also added some incredible podcasts to our slate that explores the world of video podcasts, so a willingness to work in this area with us will be a desirable quality.

Reporting to our Production Manager via your line manager, the ideal candidate is a talented writer and communicator who has a passion for the craft and a proven track record for producing high-quality content, especially centred in the world of science and technology.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Recording and producing guests both online and in-person Delivering clean, sharp edits and mixes Series planning and idea development Chasing guests Scripting for an interview-based recordings Delivering to a production timeline Contributing to creative thinking around Message Heard’s own story telling Support and collaborate with your near when needed

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

2+ years of experience in audio production Proficient with Adobe Audition Experience with visual storytelling (desirable but not the primary skill required)
Experience on a range of productions (i.e. varied genres and formats) Demonstrable passion for podcasts At ease in a busy and demanding work environment Comfortable working independently and being proactive
