Managing Director, Ad Operations
A full time position
Fully remote: working with a USA-based team at Lemonada Media.
Salary range: $90,000 to $110,000 (yearly rate) - subject to experience
Lemonada Media is seeking a Managing Director of Ad Operations to lead on the campaign execution within our sales and business development function. The Managing Director of Ad Operations leads the day-to-day implementation of all audio and video campaigns at Lemonada. They take the baton from the sales team by following up with clients in a timely fashion, with a customer service lens, and monitor the campaign execution through completion. This role works across several functions on the team, and has high visibility into internal production processes. They also liaise with talent and their talent teams. This role is essential to maintaining a high-degree of client satisfaction, and requires someone with a sense of responsibility, urgency, and attention to detail. This person will manage one, full-time direct report (the ad operations assistant) that supports on day-to-day campaign operations. This role reports directly to the VP, Sales and Business Development.
Roles and Responsibilities
Lead the implementation of Ad Operations audio and video
- Welcome sponsors and clients, and kick off their campaigns seamlessly after being connected by the sales team
- Interpret contracts and ensure this is reflected in all internal and external processes
- Kick off ad copy process from client, and be willing to be customer service oriented in developing creative
- Support sponsor retention and client satisfaction by communicating effectively about their campaign
Campaign Management
- Track campaigns from start to finish, making decisions on delivery (on track, pacing behind) and bringing delivery to the sales directors if needed
Traffic ad copy process from internal sales team to production and clients
- Coordinate ads/ad copy with sponsors and production teams (which include Lemonada originals and Sales / Distribution podcasts)
- Send weekly ad copy requests to production teams while coordinating the timeline for when ads need to be posted and live
- In coordination with the Ad Operations assistant, manage the quality control and conduct airchecks
Required Competencies
- 5 to 10 years of professional experience; previous experience in podcast industry ad operations or sales required
- Highly organized with an exceptional ability to manage internal processes with with meticulous attention to detail and highly dependable follow-through
- Strong communication skills
- Desire and ability to work in fast-paced, growing, entrepreneurial environment
- Strong judgment and ability to manage confidential information and data
- Proficient in Google Suites software.
Additional Information:
- This role has the opportunity to be an operations lead while also creating space for the creative (by connecting a host voice to the audio campaigns in the ad copy writing).
- Lemonada is a startup that has been scaling rapidly, and as a part of this growth, we are in the midst of refining our processes and systems. This person has the opportunity to build and scale a team, refine processes, and bring new ideas to how things have been done. We will want this person to support in acquisition of new software that will replace current systems within the ad operations function that will create a more seamless and automated experience
- The Lemonada team currently uses Triton TAP, Omny, Yield Ops, Podcast Metrics, and Hubspot.
