A project or contract Host position
Fully remote: working with a USA-based team at It's Magazine.
Salary: $100 (monthly rate) plus $100 per episode, about one episode a month per host
It's Magazine is casting 12 hosts for It's the Industry, our interview podcast. Each host owns one industry, interviews guests from that industry and becomes the on-camera face of that segment of the show, so the audience always knows which host goes with which topic.
The 12 industries, one host each: Sports, Fashion, Luxury & Travel, Celebrities & Influencers, Arts, Events, Finance & Investments, Real Estate, Tech, Health & Fitness, Marketing, New Brands.
Requirement: real knowledge of the industry you apply for. That means work experience, credentials, or an established following or audience in that space. This is required, not optional. Applicants without proven industry knowledge or a following in that industry will not be considered.
What the job is:
- About one episode a month. Each recording is a 1-hour slot, 45 minutes recorded.
- Recorded remotely on Riverside, Monday to Thursday.
- You lead the interview. We book the guests, prepare the research and handle editing and distribution.
- Pay is $100 per episode.

- Clear, confident and curious on camera, with a point of view on your field.
- US-based preferred. International applicants only with major-brand experience.

The Podcast Taxonomy definition for a role like this in Cast says: “The Host is the on-air master of ceremonies of the podcast and a consistent presence on every episode (with the exception of guest hosts and alternative episodes). The Host's duties may include conducting interviews, introducing stories and segments, narrating, and more. There may be more than one Host per podcast or episode.”
