Creative Director - Brand Podcasts

Overview: IRONCLAD is seeking an innovative and strategic Creative Director to lead our Brand Podcasts team. This role is essential in driving the creative vision for client brand podcasts and overseeing the execution of internal brand podcast initiatives. The ideal candidate has a high degree of knowledge about podcasts, YouTube strategies, and editorial direction with a proven track record in creative direction, team leadership, and content strategy. This position requires an exceptional ability to balance creative innovation with operational excellence, ensuring every podcast we produce meets the highest standards of quality, engagement, and brand alignment.
Core Functions: 1) Creative Vision & Leadership
- Develop and oversee the creative strategy for all client and internal brand podcast projects, ensuring alignment with brand goals and audience engagement.
- Lead brainstorming and conceptualization sessions with producers, writers, and editors to generate compelling content ideas and formats.
- Maintain high creative standards across all productions, ensuring consistency in storytelling, quality, and brand identity.
2) Team Management
- Manage and mentor the Brand Podcasts team, including producers, editors, and writers, fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence.
- Provide guidance and feedback throughout the pre-production, production, and post-production stages.
- Ensure team accountability for meeting deadlines and maintaining quality control standards
- Review and approve final deliverables, ensuring adherence to creative and technical standards.
- Work with producers to troubleshoot production challenges and maintain efficiency.
3) Client & Stakeholder Collaboration
- Serve as the primary creative liaison for clients, hosting monthly strategy meetings to align on goals, new initiatives, and analytics.
- Collaborate with clients to develop content strategies that resonate with their target audiences and achieve measurable outcomes.
- Act as the bridge between internal teams, clients, and external stakeholders, ensuring seamless communication and alignment.
4) Analytics & Strategy
- Analyze performance metrics across platforms like Apple Podcasts, Spotify, YouTube, and other streaming services.
- Present actionable insights and recommendations to clients and internal stakeholders to drive audience growth and engagement.
- Partner with the marketing team to optimize promotional strategies and maximize podcast reach.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in creative direction, content strategy, or media production, with a focus on podcasts or digital media.
- Proven leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and manage a diverse creative team.
- Strong storytelling and content development expertise, with a deep understanding of brand strategy.
- Excellent writing ability
- Exceptional problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of podcasting platforms, distribution channels, and industry trends.
- Experience in budget management and project planning.
