Story Producer

Salary range: $2,500 to $4,000 (monthly rate) - subject to experience
We are looking to hire a strong podcast story producer within the next two weeks for a new social impact series we are producing, focused on The Green Wave Movement and abortion access across Latin America, titled Green Tide Rising. The series, comprising 8 episodes as well as a trailer and a short election reaction episode, will be released in the lead up to the November election. We are keen to find someone who is ready to dive in, can take ownership of their role once they are comfortable, and who can offer great ideas creatively wherever it is relevant. You are a leader!
The pay range is between 700-900 per week, depending on experience. The job begins at the end of June and will go until the end of September. Approx 15-20 hours per week. This is a fully remote position, but we prefer and will be prioritizing applications in PST timezone in the United States, as that is where the majority of our team is located. The candidate must be bilingual (Spanish and English), and ideally they have both a knowledge and passion for this subject matter.
Scope of work generally includes: Weekly call with producer team via Zoom; Book interviews with guests and hosts; Schedule and conduct pre-interview calls with guests; Read transcripts and identify story lines, quotes and soundbites; light research to fact-check soundbites and interview content; Put together episode outline in conjunction with Senior Producer; Write episode scripts including host narration; Collaborate with producer team to identify strong story lines and potential guests; Create string outs for the editor and oversee assembly, in conjunction with Senior producer; Provide feedback on social media video content associated with podcast; Identify short clips for social media publication; Linking time codes to outlines and scripts for editor use.
