The Job
As a producer for Every Little Thing you will lead the production of a monthly episode of the show. In this role you’ll be involved at every stage in making ELT stories come to life. You will rely on your journalism and broadcast audio experience to identify and book the best guests, with an ear for a good story. Other responsibilities include preparing the host for interviews, scripting stories in the style of the show, and cutting and assembling audio using ProTools editing software.
What You’ll Do
- Pitch stories
- Brainstorm new segment and episode ideas
- Find, pre-interview, and book guests
- Arrange for studio recordings and tape syncs
- Listen to raw tape to identify the perfect details, the need-to-know plot points, and the need-to-hear moments that make a story
- Write scripts
- Cut tape, assemble mixes and score episodes
- Help grow and maintain the show’s social media presence
- Potential for on-air reporting
What You’ll Bring
- At least 3+ years of experience producing audio for radio or podcasts
- Demonstrated ability to work under strict deadlines
- Strong writer
- Ability to stay organized and effectively prioritize responsibilities
- Proficiency in creating assemblies in ProTools
- An eye for detail and self-direction
- Interest and aptitude for growth as a team leader
