Salary range: £42,000 to £52,000 (yearly rate) - subject to experience
Overview
We are seeking a skilled Podcast Producer with comedy expertise to lead the production of our core podcast; Fin vs History, along with future podcasts as our company continues to grow.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in video production and journalism, with a passion for storytelling and an ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
The role is expected to be split 2-3 days focused on Fin vs History, with the remaining days working on upcoming podcasts and shows. It’s an exciting opportunity to continue growing UK’s most popular comedy history podcast and the into the next chapter of our comedy series.
You’ll work closely with the talent, production assistant, researchers, and junior editor to deliver the high-quality creative Fumblerooski and the audience expect from our shows.
Responsibilities
Lead the production of Fin vs History, ensuring the high-quality output is maintained and improved.
Produce, edit, mix and archive weekly episodes ensuring professional standards throughout.
To conceptualise, plan, and produce engaging podcast episodes from inception to completion, ensuring high-quality content that aligns with our brand and target audience.
Research, book and prepare hosts and guests.
Oversee the review process incorporating feedback while maintaining editorial integrity.
Ensure and manage the production of engaging 9x16 social content for various platforms.
Where necessary; add captions, pictures, b-rolls, and other elements to elevate the overall quality of video edits.
Ensure that all edited content aligns with brand guidelines and social media best practices.
Work closely with the creative team to understand project requirements and deliver creative briefs.
Collaborate with other team members to ensure a cohesive and consistent visual style.
Requirements
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Premiere and Adobe Audition.
Strong audio and video podcast editing skills with a keen eye for detail and comedic techniques - a strong portfolio showcasing longform edits and 9x19 social content is a must.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Experience in journalism or related fields is highly desirable.
Familiarity with social media strategies to enhance audience engagement - with demonstrated ability to add and review captions, pictures and b-roll.
Creative mindset with a keen eye for detail and design aesthetics.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a flexible work environment.
Flexibility to adapt to changing project requirements.
Keen interest in history and comedy.
Salary based on experience.
