About Filato
Filato is a new family entertainment company focused on creating high-quality audio storytelling for kids and families. We produce both cinematic-style audio dramas and lower-production podcasts, with an emphasis on creativity, imagination, and meaningful family experiences.
Role Overview
We’re looking for a versatile Audio Producer / Editor who can own the full production process—from raw recordings to polished final episodes.
This role combines technical execution with creative storytelling. You’ll help shape the sound, pacing, and emotional tone of our content.
Responsibilities
- Edit and clean dialogue (noise reduction, leveling, pacing)
- Design and mix soundscapes (music, sound effects, ambiance)
- Produce fully polished episodes ready for distribution
- Collaborate on creative direction, tone, and storytelling
- Manage audio files, sessions, and revisions efficiently
- Ensure consistent quality across episodes and series
- (Bonus) Assist with voice direction or recording workflows
Ideal Candidate
- Experience editing podcasts, audio dramas, or narrative content
- Strong skills in DAWs (Adobe Audition, Pro Tools, Reaper, etc.)
- Experience with sound design and music integration
- Strong storytelling instincts (especially pacing and emotion)
- Reliable, communicative, and able to meet deadlines
- Portfolio demonstrating before/after work or full episodes
Bonus:
- Experience with kids/family content
- Voice directing or casting experience
- Music composition or sourcing skills
Scope & Workload
- Ongoing work (episodes released weekly or biweekly)

- Simple podcasts (lighter editing)
- Higher-production audio dramas (more intensive sound design)
Compensation
Flexible depending on experience and scope:
- Per episode or monthly retainer preferred
- Open to entry → experienced candidates
