Salary range: $1,200 to $9,600 (monthly rate) - subject to experience

ABOUT THE SALES LEAD POSITION Emerald City is a podcast production and consulting company. We are looking for a Sales Lead who can drive the growth of our client roster, be the first person that prospective and new clients encounter, and assist us in creating new sales systems and materials as needed. This role will have both internal and external (client-facing) responsibilities and is designed to reward success and contribution. The candidate that joins us will have experience in agency package/subscription sales and be familiar with content marketing and marketing agency operations, customer service, and technology in a service-based business.

This role develops a plan for generating client leads. You’re converting leads into clients, meeting sales goals (2 - 4 new clients per month minimum), communicating with clients during onboarding, and passing new clients on to the Founder or Operations Manager to complete the onboarding process.

Additionally, you will also have the opportunity to host our lead generating podcast and occasionally travel to events to support Danny Ozment in promoting the business (expenses paid).

This role is fully remote and has a very flexible schedule, requiring only enough hours to meet sales goals. You could very easily work for ECP and other employers at the same time. Due to the location and language of most clients, it is preferred that you be in North America and located in the Central or Eastern time zone.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Sales

Refine and improve our existing system for generating quality client leads Generate and respond to new leads Host our lead-generating podcast Schedule and host sales calls with potential clients Create SOPs and systems as needed and update them as they evolve Compile metrics

Account Management (podcasts and client launches)

Coordinate initial steps of client onboarding Manage initial client relations Pass on clients to the operations team after onboarding Implement new initiatives Coordinate special client projects

Technology Tools Currently Being Used: You will be working on a team that uses these tools and must use them yourself.

Asana for managing internal projects. Google Suite (Google docs, sheets, forms, etc) for internal documents ConvertKit for marketing tasks Buffer for social media Canva for the occasional design task for podcast

ABOUT EMERALD CITY AND OUR FOUNDER, DANNY OZMENT

Danny Ozment began Emerald City Productions over 14 years ago as a music recording studio and production service, running a recording studio in Nashville for 4 years before fully transitioning to podcast production and digital marketing 8 years ago. Before that, Danny spent 10 years working as a conductor and Director of Operations for performing arts non-profits in Washington, DC. He is now based in Orlando.

He believes that podcasts are changing the world. They allow people to share stories, have nuanced conversations, and allow them to walk a mile in someone else’s shoes. He believes that all humans are valuable and deserve to be treated with equality and respect and runs his business with these progressive values at the forefront.

Right now, Danny is wearing out his Walt Disney World annual pass with his wife and 2 kids. When he’s not on Pirates of the Caribbean, he spends his days on mission helping podcasters change the world one download at a time.
