Contract Podcast Producer (Functional & Longevity Medicine Platform) Location: Remote, available East Coast hours (Global Team) Type: Part-Time Contract Reports to: Platform Marketing Director
About the Role New Frontiers in Functional Medicine is seeking an experienced Podcast Producer to support a globally recognized clinical education platform led by Dr. Kara Fitzgerald. Our podcast serves clinicians and healthcare professionals advancing functional and longevity medicine.
Key Responsibilities Production & Recording
Attend 2 live virtual podcast recordings (Riverside) (with possibility of adding more) Manage recording logistics and ensure high-quality audio/video capture Provide real-time troubleshooting as needed Editing & Post-Production
Edit full-length podcast episodes (audio + video) from raw recording to final cut Ensure professional-level sound design, audio leveling, and visual consistency Integrate intro/outro, sponsor placements, branding elements, and lower-thirds as needed Create a polished highlight reel for each episode Reformat and optimize full episodes for YouTube (titles, descriptions, timestamps, and coordination of thumbnails if applicable) Edit and clean podcast transcripts for clarity, accuracy, and readability Write and format show notes summarizing key topics, timestamps, guest information, and relevant links Compile and organize episode assets for the website, including transcripts, show notes, embedded media, and supporting links Export and format audio episodes for podcast platforms Cut multiple short-form clips and reels from each episode, including b-roll, captions, and visual overlays where appropriate Deliver final assets in platform-specific formats (YouTube, Instagram, podcast host, website, etc.) Content Development
Collaborate with marketing team on campaign direction Collaborate with Dr. Fitzgerald and the marketing team to develop, refine, and vet interview questions for each episode Conduct light background research on guests to help shape thoughtful, relevant discussion topics Prepare a structured question outline or run-of-show for each interview to ensure a clear narrative flow and key topics are covered Create high-quality short-form video clips and reels from podcast footage Incorporate b-roll and visual overlays where appropriate Platform Management
Support transition from SoundCloud to a new podcast hosting platform Manage uploads and distribution across audio and video platforms Maintain episode organization and publishing schedule Monitor ongoing metrics and episode performance Guest Coordination
Support guest logistics and scheduling in collaboration with Dr. Fitzgerald and the marketing team Ensure guests are prepared and technically set up prior to recording Team Collaboration
Attend weekly Monday team meetings Communicate clearly within a global, remote team environment
Required Qualifications Proven experience producing and editing podcasts (audio + video) Strong video editing skills (must have appropriate software and workflow) Experience with Riverside (or similar remote recording platforms) Ability to troubleshoot audio/video issues independently Highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple moving parts Self-starter who can operate with minimal oversight and proactively solve problems Strong communication skills in a remote, global team environment Comfortable working with high-level clinicians and healthcare professionals Knowledge of functional medicine and/or integrative health is a bonus
