Podcast Account Manager
A part time position
Fully remote: working with a USA-based team at Digital Freedom Productions.
Salary range: $20.00 to $25.00 (hourly rate) - subject to experience
Digital Freedom Productions is a premier podcast production company dedicated to helping life coaches (business coaches, mindset coaches, etc.) grow their coaching businesses through podcasting. We’re passionate about delivering high-quality podcasts that elevate our clients’ brands and expand their reach.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a reliable, strategic, organized, and detail-focused Part-Time Account Manager to oversee the production of podcast episodes for our clients.
This position involves not only managing the end-to-end production process but also analyzing podcast performance metrics and providing valuable insights and growth strategies. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of podcast analytics, be highly communicative, and possess a strong command of the English language (reading, writing, and speaking). You’ll collaborate closely with clients and internal teams to ensure smooth production and help clients improve their podcast’s performance.
This is a part time position with the potential to increase to full time as we grow.
Location: 100% remote.
Availability: Must be available during Eastern Time Zone morning business hours (until 11am ET to join team meetings) and occasionally on weekends/holidays as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
Production Oversight: Manage the production of podcast episodes for assigned clients, ensuring all tasks are completed on time and meet high-quality standards. Oversee episode components in ClickUp.
Quality Control: Review and quality check episode components (transcripts, audio files, etc.), ensuring they are on-brand and error-free.
Writing & Copy Editing: Proofread and edit AI-generated show notes, transcripts, and social media copy. Occasionally rewrite show notes and ensure all copy is engaging and on-brand.
Client Communication: Maintain professional and timely communication with clients via Slack and email. Keep clients informed about episode schedules, request content when needed, and resolve any issues promptly.
Strategic Insights: Analyze podcast analytics (downloads, listener growth, engagement, etc.) and provide actionable insights to clients. Offer strategies to help clients grow their podcast audience, improve their content, or optimize their marketing efforts.
Team Collaboration: Regularly communicate with the leadership team, providing updates on production statuses and suggesting improvements for client growth in areas such as technical execution, content, and marketing.
SEO Knowledge: Implement basic SEO practices in show notes and episode descriptions.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Tools: Proficiency in WordPress, Squarespace, Google Suite, Dropbox, Slack, Canva.
Attention to Detail: Exceptional proofreading and editing skills with a keen eye and ear for identifying errors in copy and audio content.
Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly communicate insights, strategies, and client needs.
Strategic Mindset: Comfortable analyzing podcast analytics (e.g., downloads, engagement, growth patterns) and using data to propose improvements and strategies for podcast growth.
Time Management & Prioritization: Ensuring assigned productions are completed on time or earlier. When multiple tasks are due, prioritizing them accurately (with training) and communicating to the team.
Internet Access: Reliable, fast internet access for handling large audio and video files.
Bonus Points: Familiarity with Libsyn, Captivate, Descript, Riverside, YouTube SEO and publishing, video editing (long and short form), social media marketing.
