Audio Podcast Editor
A part time position
Fully remote: working with a USA-based team at Digital Freedom Productions.
We’re looking for an audio podcast editor to join the close-knit, communicative, dynamic team here at Digital Freedom Productions
DFP is the go-to podcast production company and strategic growth partner for life and business coaches who want to grow their businesses through impactful podcasting and content. We’re passionate about amplifying coaches' voices by delivering their message with care and excellence. We know podcasting is a powerful tool for building meaningful connections with audiences, but it’s also complex and time-intensive. That’s why we handle every production detail, allowing our clients to focus on their ideas and impact.
We’re looking for an audio editor who’s passionate about storytelling and craftsmanship. You don’t just enjoy podcasts—you analyze them. You understand what makes a podcast engaging, and you’re excited to collaborate on meaningful projects that help coaches grow their businesses and make an impact.
You'll work closely with our production team and lend your expertise to creating high-quality, polished audio content that serves our clients and their listeners.
Apply If:
- Audio podcast editing is your craft. You take pride in delivering professional, clear, and clean audio.
- You’re obsessed with podcasts, especially within the self-help and coaching spaces.
- You understand what makes content connect with listeners—from pacing to sound quality to overall flow.
- You're a master at adjusting speech pacing to feel natural but engaging (not too slow, full of awkward pauses, and not too fast, making it sound overly edited).
- Any time you edit, you can give clear, constructive feedback to help clients improve their recordings.
- You’re confident using Adobe Audition, including Spectral Editing, to eliminate unwanted noise, filler, and distractions.
- You use plugins like Izotope
- You’re a detail-oriented problem solver who thrives on feedback and collaboration.
- You’re passionate about helping hosts grow their shows and reach their audiences more effectively.
Don’t Apply If:
- You’re building your own agency or prefer working only on personal projects.
- You think podcasting is just a hobby, not a strategic growth tool.
- You’re not open to AI tools or innovations that can streamline your workflow.
- You’re not comfortable handling large audio files or meeting tight turnaround deadlines.
- You’re unavailable for team meetings between 9–11am EST a couple times per week.
Required Tools & Skills:
- Adobe Audition: Must be skilled in editing solo episodes and interviews for clarity, flow, and impact. Must be able to “paint out” imperfections using Spectral Display.
- AI tools: You’re excited by how AI can elevate your work—from brainstorming edits to improving speed and quality.
Working Arrangement
- Pay: Project-based for audio podcasts, depending on the type of episode and experience.
- Amount of work: Start out with 1-2 episodes per week with potential to grow to as many episode per week you can handle.
- Availability: Flexible hours as long as deadlines are met; work from anywhere.
- Growth: Opportunity to expand into video and content strategy roles as Digital Freedom Productions grows.
