The Opportunity
As our first marketing hire, you'll shape how we grow both our consumer (deepcast.fm) and creator (deepcast.pro) platforms. You'll have the freedom to experiment with AI-powered growth strategies while building the foundation of our marketing function. This role combines creative thinking with data-driven execution to drive user acquisition, engagement, and retention.
What You'll Own
Growth Strategy & Execution
- Work with CEO on strategic marketing, including pricing/packaging, positioning, and prioritization of larger cross-function growth project
- Design and implement cross-platform growth loops between our consumer and creator products
- Build and optimize our acquisition funnel through continuous experimentation
- Leverage modern no-code/low-code tools to automate and scale successful initiatives
- Create innovative AI-powered marketing approaches
- Create and executive content calendars, multi-platform messaging, and multi-asset implementations for a cohesive, multi-channel acquisition approach Analytics & Optimization
- Drive key metrics including CAC, retention rates, ACV, and LTV
- Run rapid experiments across multiple channels (social, PR/trade pubs, paid, SEM/SEO, webinars, podcast appearances)
- Analyze user behavior patterns to identify growth opportunities, specifically with a lens toward multiple product customer cohorts
- Present findings and autonomously execute on insights; we move fast, so you share direction and then just go (or if it’s a “2-way door decision”, you often just go)
- Ecosystem Development
- Build strategic relationships within the podcast creator community
- Convert podcast listeners into creator leads
- Develop and optimize landing pages and onboarding flows
- Create viral loops and referral systems
What You Bring
- 3+ years of growth, product, or growth marketing experience at high-growth startups
- Strong analytical mindset with experience in A/B testing and data analysis
- You’re “AI native” and have a proficiency with GenAI tech across different use cases and modalities
- Extensive experience with marketing automation, analytics platforms, and CRM systems—not just direction or ideation, but actual tactical execution and configuration
- Understanding of both B2C (listeners) and B2B (creators) marketing dynamics
- Knowledge of user psychology and behavior-driven design principles; as well as systems design with respect to acquisition and lifecycle marketing and corresponding analytics and product implementations Nice-to-Haves
- Experience with podcast industry tools and audio content marketing
- Expertise in SEO, content marketing, and paid acquisition
- Background in product-led and community-led growth, including sales-assisted
- Proficiency with no-code/low-code testing platforms—we aim for max autonomy
- Experience building viral/referral programs
