TITLE: Director, Sales & Brand Partnerships (title is subject to Candidates experience)
ABOUT THIS POSITION: Dear Media is seeking a full-time Sales & Brand Partnerships Manager. The primary focus of this sales & business development role is to engage with brands and agencies to generate new opportunities and revenue for our developing roster of original scripted shows. You will be empowered to develop and sell through dynamic podcast and social media campaigns.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Leverage relationships with brand and agency contacts for deal flow and target revenue quotas.
- Source new business opportunities for the Dear Media Network scripted slate of podcasts and build a sales pipeline of opportunity.
- Build proposals, negotiate and redline contracts, and secure branded campaigns.
- Respond to proposal requests and build out media plan deliverables.
- Define project KPI’s, objectives, and assumptions necessary to achieve success.
- Work internally with all departments such as Campaign Management, Marketing, Production, and Video for proposals and campaign integrations.
- Work towards annual and monthly sales goal metrics.
- Work with Sr. Director, Sales & Brand Partnerships on strategic growth opportunities, building out department infrastructure such as sales packages and pitch decks, as well as potential to hire and build out department team.
- Potential to manage direct report Sales Associate(s) and Sales Coordinator(s) to provide on-the-job training and opportunities to advance in their careers at Dear Media.
- Additional responsibilities as required
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 6+ years in digital media sales business development with proven expertise packaging influencers and securing podcast or social media deals
- Proven expertise in pitching scripted podcast content partnerships
- Must be proactive, resourceful, efficient and have a network of brand direct, advertising agencies, media companies and contacts across relevant categories
- Experience negotiating deals and responding to RFP’s
- Proven ability to set and exceed performance goals
- Austin, TX, New York, NY, or Los Angeles, CA based

- Strong interest in the growing influencer and podcast space
SOFTWARE SKILLS:
- Gsuite
- Hubspot
- Strong familiarity with podcasts along with Instagram, YouTube, TikTok and all other social platforms
