BYUradio Giving Podcast RFP
A project or contract position
Fully remote: working with a USA-based team at BYUradio.
Have you ever wished, as you clicked “Donate,” attended a fundraiser, or dropped spare change in a red bucket, that you could see the impact of your giving on the person at the other end? BYUradio is seeking a production partner in developing a podcast that explores the process of giving, from the person writing the check to the people that receive the help, allowing an audience to witness the seldom-told journey of life-changing generosity, from start to finish. This podcast would feature various non-profits (local and international) and some of their stories.
● Basic Format: 10-12 video episodes, 30-60 minutes, with a narrative structure and focus on storytelling, preferably with a high-profile guest/host. Each episode will follow one story of giving from the person donating through a specific non-profit to the person(s) receiving the donation.
-
Podcast Goal and Target Audience: The success of this podcast will be measured by reach and engagement, more than revenue. Episodes should appeal to a multigenerational, co-listening audience.
-
Marketing: While the podcast should leverage the distribution capabilities of its featured non-profits, guests, and host(s), BYUradio is also interested in creative partners who have relationships with distribution channels and can demonstrate innovative thinking about discoverability. The product should have a cross-platform strategy, using video-forward visuals to drive audience engagement on social media.
-
Scope of Project: While BYUradio is prepared to fund this project, the podcast production partner will handle all creative and technical aspects of producing and delivering the limited-series podcast, with collaboration and oversight from BYUradio.
