A full time Executive Producer position at BBC, Salford England, UK
This is an exciting opportunity to lead an expanding team producing world-class, award-winning factual audio.
Background: Long Form Audio was created in 2021, bringing together the existing teams from Radio Current Affairs, Ouch, People Fixing the World and News Podcasts. As part of the Across the UK initiative, we are in the process of relocating output from London to Salford, and increasing the size of the Salford team. This team has for many years produced File on 4 and investigative output for 5Live, including podcast series like Gangster, Ecstasy: The Battle for Rave and Brixton: Flames on the Frontline. From 2022, the Salford team will in addition start producing Witness History (including Sporting Witness, The History Hour and Witness History digital video and TV), The Inquiry and Analysis. It will also expand output of ad hoc documentaries, particularly for Radio 4.
