A full time position at Audio Always, Salford Greater Manchester, UK
Audio Always is a creative production company connecting through sound, specialising in engaging content that resonates across radio, podcasts and audiobooks. With studios in Salford and London, we produce chart-topping podcasts including Help I Sexted My Boss, Joe and James Fact Up, Get A Grip and The Girls Bathroom.
We’re a fast-paced company with multiple projects always running at once — across podcasts, radio, audiobooks and commercial campaigns. The Production Manager is the person who keeps all of it on track. This is a role for someone who loves the operational side of production: the planning, the systems, the detail — and who gets real satisfaction from a schedule that holds and a project that lands without drama.
What You'll Be Doing
- Maintaining a clear overview of active and future projects — deadlines, budgets, staffing, risks and delivery — so nothing falls through the gaps.
- Working closely with teams across the business to plan and manage resources across multiple concurrent projects.
- Building and managing production schedules and budgets, and keeping on top of any changes as they happen.
- Presenting resourcing plans as part of project kickoff meetings.
- Keeping production management systems current and accurate.
- Booking and managing freelancers, maintaining accurate records of availability, contracts and costs.
- Managing studio bookings across our facilities in Manchester and London.
- Ensuring all production-related paperwork is completed — contracts, compliance, rights and delivery documentation.
- Forward planning production capacity across the business, proactively identifying resourcing gaps and flagging them early.
- Supporting the wider team with the systems, trackers and workflows that keep a busy production company running well.
What We're Looking For
- Strong production management experience, ideally in audio, TV or an agency, though other backgrounds are equally welcome.
- Comfortable working on project management and budget tracking systems like monday.com and Productive.
- A track record of delivering complex, multi-project workloads to deadline and budget.
- Confident with schedules, forecasts, contracts and production risk.
- Exceptionally well-organised and calm under pressure.
- Communicates clearly with producers, freelancers, talent and suppliers alike.
- Good judgement — and knows when to flag something and when to just sort it.
- Takes a collaborative, practical approach and makes the people around them feel supported.
