About the Role

We are looking for an ambitious and passionate Content Manager to join our North American team, to be based in Toronto and help grow our Canadian content offerings. You will be responsible for establishing relations with potential content partners to help us expand our content network. You’ll also manage relationships with our existing podcasters, support their podcast growth and work closely with our commercial teams and colleagues in our global offices. You’ll also spot the potential for new formats and podcast hosts. As well as a strong knowledge of podcasting and on-demand audio, you’ll be able to demonstrate a sensitivity to commercial opportunities and brands, as well as an appreciation of the rapidly evolving podcast landscape. Ideally, you have a creative mind, are highly organised and analytical, and a good grasp of and interest in technology.

Key Responsibilities

Recruit, negotiate and implement contractual relationships with content providers Establish and manage high-level relationships with current and future content partners Provide support and creative direction to new creators Guide and assist content partners with integration into our systems Characteristics Proficient knowledge and understanding of the Canadian podcast market and audio industry Excellent pitching, presentation and problem-solving skills Ability to negotiate agreements Exceptional verbal and written interpersonal, relationship management and communication skills Team player that is collaborative, creative and highly motivated Fluent in both written and spoken English; Working knowledge of French preferred Some experience in audio production, journalism, digital media or branded content is a plus We are a flat organisation that works towards enabling teams to make the best possible decisions rather than having decisions made for them.
