- Mar 3: Ruth Fitzsimons has been appointed Director of Digital for Bauer Media in Ireland. She joins from Sport Social, Podfront UK, and Audioboom. Bauer owns radio companies and magazines in the country.
- Jan 20: The UK’s Sport Social Podcast Network has partnered with German podcast studio Wake Word to enter the German market. The two companies will support rights holders and sporting institutions in Germany.
- Dec 27, 2024: Sport Social Podcast Network publishes predictions for 2025. The company’s boss, Jim Salveson, predicts that Spotify won’t woo video creators. Our favourite: “there will be further development in the podcast advertising space" which seems a prediction that can’t go wrong.
- Dec 17, 2024: Netflix is to tap into The Nat Coombs Show, one of the most popular National Football League (NFL) podcasts, to promote its exclusive NFL Christmas Day games. The campaign, running throughout December, includes host-read and announcer-read ads, as well as activity across Sport Social Podcast Network’s NFL and football verticals.
