- Mar 4: How powerful are live podcasts? Goalhanger’s The Rest is Politics and The Rest is Politics: US both ran special live shows after the White House exchange between President Donald Trump and President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. The live YouTube events, reposted in audio on podcast apps, have already delivered more than two million listeners and viewers in just four days, says Goalhanger. A social media clip has already gained another 1.6 million views.
- Feb 25: Goalhanger has launched a new live event - its first without a podcast. The Rest Is Assassinations will feature Dominic Sandbrook and Anthony Scaramucci at the end of March in London’s Theatre Royal in Drury Lane.
- Feb 21: Edison Research released the Top 25 Podcasts in the UK for Q4/2024. News podcasts did well this quarter, which included the US Presidential Election. The BBC has the most titles in the list overall, though Goalhanger Podcasts has three shows in the top 5.
