- Aug 28: Magellan AI has released the first ever Australian Podcast Quarterly Benchmark Report. Working with ARN, we learn that the average ad load is 7.53%. (In the US, it’s 8.13%). Podcast advertising must be seen as fair dinkum by the advertisers, too - podcast ad spend saw an increase of 20% year-on-year. Crikey!
- Aug 6: Patreon released new figures, claiming that Patreon creators have now earned over $10bn since the platform was first launched in 2013. The company is now paying creators more than $2bn annually; and there are now more than 25 million paid memberships on the platform.
