SpotsNow has launched what it calls an AI operating system for podcast advertising. The tool automates planning and pricing, and is custom-built for each individual podcast network, to connect to the way the team already works. “The agents we custom build take the repetitive load off the floor so sellers can do the part only people can do, which is build the relationship and close the deal,” says CEO Cam Pritchard.

A new AI promotion tool called Kompozy has launched. Promising to “turn one idea into a month of content”, the tool ingests a podcast, RSS feed or blog post, then composes a set of social posts and schedules them into different platforms (if you let it) over an entire week. We gave it Friday’s newsletter; it gave us a set of decent-looking posts, including quote cards, LinkedIn-like posts, an infographic, and quotes with our Editor on a laptop, our Editor making some kind of presentation, and another photo post - it also does video clips as well. You can give Kompozy a free trial.

On May 7, we reported that Inception Point AI had stopped publishing new shows as they moved publishing platforms. More than three weeks later, we still don’t see any new shows from the company; though there is evidence of a few shows being updated: Fresno, California Crime Report, an automated service voiced by “Agent Monday”, is one of them (as are shows for Sacramento, Colorado Springs, Mesa, Tulsa, and Omaha - all with AI-generated artwork).
- However, if you’re looking for “daily fishing updates” in Fiji, South Pacific Fishing Report Today, or you want your daily astrology update in Capricorn Astrology Bites: Daily Horoscopes with Luna Vega, or check the daily Surf Report for San Diego California, you’re out of luck - most Inception Point AI shows haven’t updated since May 21.

The Tech Stuff - with RSS.com
- Tom Rossi of Buzzsprout has posted a suggestion to better identify apps that request downloads of podcasts (and, potentially, to restrict access to devices that don’t identify themselves).
- Adam Curry and Dave Jones discussed the news of the formation of the Alliance for Measurement in Podcasting in the Podcasting 2.0 podcast. The solution is, they suggest, cutting podcast app developers in on ad revenue (as, to an extent, Apple Podcasts is already doing with their HLS video), in return for better first-party data. The guest this week is Mike Dell from Blubrry.
