Spotify adding new podcasts; more tweaks to Google's podcast app

Spotify is adding new shows to their system again, and working through a large backlog, including 2,500 shows from Libsyn alone. They suspended new submissions in early May while they retooled their podcast service.

Google’s podcast app continues to be tweaked, including a “for you” tab and a nice new logo of a colourful diamond.

The on-audio revolution gathers pace according to a UK journalism website, quoting a Reuters online survey and focusing on podcasting. There’s an interesting set of data around “which podcasts are most popular”.
