  • Google

Sonix have released what they call an “SEO-friendly podcast player”. There’s an example on their page announcing the service: it transcribes your podcast in chunks, and the company says that Google should index the podcast content as a result.

  • Pacific Content

Steve Pratt of Pacific Content discovers adjacent product categories. “Choosing the primary category can be challenging because the show straddles more than one topic. Once this dilemma presented itself a couple times, we realized that adjacent categories were actually new opportunities for audience development in disguise.”

  • How accessible is podcasting? Very, according to this piece by the Bello Collective. “But with podcasts, my sighted friends and I were starting out from the same place. I don’t need anything extra to follow the plot and, for once, there is no advantage to sight.”

  • Edison Research

We reported on it last week, but it was quite hard to find. Edison Research have now published Infinite Dial 2018 for Australia on their website.

  • Stitcher

Grammar Girl has joined Stitcher Premium. Subscribers get all 600+ episodes commercial-free, bonus episodes, and everything else in Stitcher Premium. One month free using the code-word GRAMMER. Or GRAMMAR. Both work. Meanwhile, Marvel’s Wolverine: The Long Night (exclusively on Stitcher Premium) reached its season finale.
