Podcasts in Samsung Free’s Listen Tab have launched in Europe. The podcast app is available exclusively to Samsung Galaxy owners, in the UK, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Spain, France and Italy. You can add your podcast here.

The Campfire Studios crime podcast Abuse of Power has been acquired by Audible. The podcast was with Acast. A new season, exclusive to Audible, will premiere on Nov 25.

Chartable has launched SmartFeeds, a new tool that mirrors your RSS feed and makes it easier to switch podcast hosts and enable Chartable analytics.

Acast has partnered with the Belgian Podcast Awards (winners will be announced this Thursday), and separately has launched a new ad campaign. The company’s Programmatic Director Paul Biermann has written a piece in Germany about how podcast advertising could grow even faster in the country .

A German podcast ranker is coming - agma, a media analytics company, announced that beta tests have been successful, and more than 100 podcasts from participating publishers will start to be measured from Dec 1 - enabling, the company says, comparable data among all podcasts for the first time. We can’t find any methodology documents yet on their websites.

Moves and hires - with Pod People
- Brian Kibby has been appointed as Chairman of Libsyn. He’s been on Libsyn’s Board since October 2019. Libsyn also announced that Denis Yevstifeyev will step down as a Board Member at the end of the year.
- Jeremy Weiner has been hired as Group Business Director, East Coast for Acast in the US. He’s been poached from Spotify and Megaphone, and will head up the regional sales team.
