Podmosphere connects podcasters with sponsors

Podmosphere, a Swedish startup, has launched in beta. It’s a marketplace where podcasters can get sponsorship deals - delivered as a live read, not a spot ad. The website has a page on how it works. The company says it has over 500 podcasts to confirm, and it will begin accepting sponsors shortly.

NOA - News Over Audio - is a company in Ireland that “transforms articles from some of the world’s leading publishers into professionally narrated, spoken word stories”. “Radio and podcasts do not meet this need”, says the CEO in a puff-piece for the company.

Of interest: the minimum number of unique devices required for any iTunes Connect Podcast Analytics data is… five. You also appear to need this minimum number for the majority of your podcast episodes to get the detailed stats and graphs. Don’t ask us how we know this, but in an entirely unrelated item, here’s where we are if you want to subscribe in Apple Podcasts or anywhere else. Cough.
- In December, Libsyn said that Apple Podcasts accounted for 60.8% of all podcast downloads. Only iOS 11 devices - 65% of all active iOS devices - contribute to the Podcast Analytics (and the latest iTunes). Apple’s Podcast Analytics therefore may only represent 39.5% of your total traffic.
