  • Culpable, a Tenderfoot TV and Black Mountain Media true crime podcast, is offering a $100,000 reward for more information surrounding the death of 21-year-old Christian Andreacchio of Meridian MS, USA. The podcast has also made it into People magazine.

  • Want to get your next podcast commissioned? The BBC, and Podfront UK gave their advice as to how. “There are key three ingredients to a good podcast: a strong issue or topic, a solid format and great hosts to bring the discussion to life.”

  • Blubrry is giving away a year’s free podcast hosting as part of a package that also includes a decent microphone and consulting.

  • Blue Yeti has a new microphone out with a “multi-purpose knob” and real-time LED metering on the microphone itself. The Blue Yeti X comes out in October.

  • Listen Notes has announced that its Listen Alerts service (Google Alerts, but for podcasts) will be a paid-for service from 1 October. The fee will be US$5/month for every five alerts.
