Podcasts get AI visuals to help video transition

Want to take a popular podcast and turn it into video - but you have no actual video? The BBC is launching five AI-animated video adaptations of its Witness History podcast. Here’s the first, about the labradoodle, produced with Singapore’s 1UpMedia and following the BBC’s AI Editorial Guidance. 1UpMedia’s Guang Jin Yeo tells Podnews that the company has worked on a structured workflow designed for broadcaster environments.

.com has added an AI disclosure feature for all its podcasters. For now, it uses the podcast:txttag, to ensure compatibility; and has issued guidelines on when to use it. The company suggests that it is the first to add an AI disclosure tag to podcasts. It’s in place in the company’s Podcasting Innovation show: Podnews podcast pages also support it.- Apple Podcasts requires that "Creators using AI to generate a material portion of the podcast’s audio must prominently disclose this in the audio and metadata for each episode and/or show.”
