  • The Podcast Show, which took place over the last two days in London (and continues with live shows tonight and tomorrow), is on track for total attendance of 10,000 people across the festival according to organisers. Jason Carter, Festival Director told Podnews: “We have been absolutely blown away by the last two days. To feel the energy and warmth of the thousands of delegates coming together, from across the international podcast community, has been truly inspiring. This third edition of The Podcast Show London has been the best yet and it has firmly placed the event at the centre of the industry’s calendar. Roll on London 2025!”

    • The Podcast Show+, a digital pass, has been announced, with content from every room, and every session at the event. It’s powered by Supporting Cast; early birds can use code TPS2024 to save 25% at checkout for a limited time.
  • What should podcasting do in the age of AI? The media company WaitWhat has released a draft Listener Bill of Rights about AI, offering a set of guidelines for producers, and are asking for signatories. (It’s a welcome document; we think it needs further discussion).

  • Yeardly Smith and Ben Cornwell have launched a new podcast network, called Audio 99. The network will debut a historical true crime series in July, as well as a new talk series, Can’t Yeardley Wait.
