There’s a new name in the podcast industry: The Podcast Academy. It’s a membership-driven, not-for-profit organisation designed to be inclusive to the entire podcast industry - and it will run annual peer-based awards - The Golden Mics - as well as “advancing knowledge and relationships in and around the podcasting business”.

Podnews was at the announcement at Podcast Movement Evolutions in Los Angeles at the end of last week. We sat down with four board members for a lengthy Q&A - but first, listen to the announcement from Wondery CEO Hernan Lopez.
