Podbean helps with secure feeds; and Outlier Podcast Festival Los Angeles

• Podbean has announced that it will migrate to secure podcast feeds, including helping their customers who use custom domains. Apple said it will require secure feeds at some point in the future. You can check whether your podcast feed is secure by searching for it and hitting the 'technical details’ button.

• The Chicago Tribune covers Jodie Hough from RealiTV and Moms on the Rocks. She reckons she’s making $700 a month from her podcast.

• Chasing Glory has shifted from PodcastOne to Spreaker. The WWE host gives “an all-access pass to human interest stories with your favorite athletes and entertainers”.

• In The Word from Mouth this week: podcasts, platforms and copyrights, including “the necessity for platforms to treat podcast content and RSS feeds as copyrighted content even if available to pull”. Also, Gordon Firemark of Entertainment Law Update.

• Event: The Outlier Podcast Festival, in Los Angeles CA, USA, is on September 29 and 30, including speakers from Stitcher, Earbuds and The Ringer.

• Zack from Google Podcasts is special guest tomorrow on the New Media Show, which streams live: 9am PST, 12pm EST (and is available as a podcast).

• Jabberjaw Media have launched music podcast A New Level, hosted by bass player Blasko. “You want a career in the music business? It can be done and you can learn how through these experts.”
