New Heights makes it to Amazon Prime Video

• Amazon Prime Video is now showing New Heights with Jason & Travis Kelce in the US. The show is owned by Wondery, an Amazon subsidiary. Here’s the show page, which appears to be sorted by oldest-first. It doesn’t appear to be available on Amazon Prime Video in other countries but is available on YouTube internationally - we’ve asked why.

• QCODE has expanded to become a brand of Daylight Media, a new venture designed for creators to scale reach and monetization. QCODE founder and CEO Rob Herting will lead Daylight Media as CEO. The company has also announced a sales and distribution partnership with The Weekly Show with Jon Stewart.

• Libsyn has signed Girls Next Level, the pop culture podcast hosted by Holly Madison and Bridget Marquardt. The show signed with AdLarge in 2022, and Audioboom’s Creator Network in 2023.

• Animation podcast Ghibliotheque is about to release its sixth book - The Animation Atlas. The book series has sold over 300,000 copies, and has had 30 different international editions made.

• High-attention media is more profitable for advertisers, yet ad investment has shifted away from it, according to new data. High-attention media is said to include TV, cinema and radio - no mention of podcasts in this story, but you’d expect we’d be a high-attention media too (arguably, higher than radio).

• iOS podcast app Castro has polished a new UI for chapters, and added liquid glass for iOS 26 users.

• In response to the federal shutdown of the Corporation for Public Broadcasting, New York Public Radio is to offer its programming at no cost to public radio stations across the US. That includes shows from WNYC, Freakonomics and VOX’s Today, Explained.

• What’s a podcast? The audience is telling us says Steven Goldstein in a new blog post today. “The term ‘podcast’ has become shorthand for personality-driven, on-demand programming, no matter how the audience chooses to consume it,” he says.
