• Suzy Grant has been promoted to Head of Visualised Podcasts at UK production company Listen. It’s part of a strategy to develop “the middle ground between TV and podcasting”, focusing on video.

• Apollo, a fiction podcast app, has published a list of Must-Listen Shows for Every Genre in 2024.

• Don’t start a podcast, says the NBA’s Draymond Green - at least, if you’re a young NBA player, don’t start one too early, he warns. “Try to make it in basketball”, he adds, “because you ain’t made it in that yet.”

• If you work for a European public service broadcaster that’s a member, the EBU Podcast Forum is on Aug 29/30 in Berlin. Also in Berlin, House of Podcast is a set of live podcast recordings open to everyone.

• John Goforth is stepping down as CRO of Magellan AI. “It’s time for me to get back to my roots as a publisher”, he said in a LinkedIn post. He’s worked at the company since 2019.

• Seth Silvers is now Podcast Strategist for Alex and Leila Hormozi at Acquisition.com. He’s still at Story On Media, but will also be focusing on developing and implementing strategies to continue growing The Game w/ Alex Hormozi and Build with Leila Hormozi.
