Laura Ingraham “owed $919,660” by podcast firm

• American conservative television host Laura Ingraham says she is owed almost a million dollars by podcast company Quake Media, according to a court complaint. The Daily Beast reports that Quake Media repeatedly failed to make payments to Ingraham. Quake Media was a $2.99/month podcast subscription platform: it stopped posting on Twitter more than a year ago, and its website appears to have stopped working over the last few months. Its show with Andrew Cuomo closed last week.

• Triton Digital released the US Podcast Ranker for November. The top five publishers all saw a month-on-month drop of weekly downloads and users.

• Fountain has published v1.0 of its podcast app, with a refreshed design, a new clip editor, home feed, and other improvements. It also has added a payment connection with the Strike app. Co-founder Oscar Merry is interviewed on the Podnews Weekly Review about the changes this week.

• Livewire has updated its look at iOS 17 downloads. The share of downloads for Apple Podcasts appear to be down around 8%.

• Simplecast is reported to have added an integration with YouTube.
