• The UK’s Independent Podcast Awards announced its 2025 shortlist. The event is on Oct 15 in London.

  • Of note (for all podcast awards, everywhere!) the shortlist page links to an “Independent Podcasts room on Apple Podcasts”.

• SiriusXM’s Earwolf, which suffered layoffs earlier in the year, closed its New York studio last week. Jared O’Connell took a photograph of the autographed signature studio table before it was taken away. He links to a full resolution image for your zooming pleasure.

• In Sweden, podcast platform Podspace is revealing new hires after the company has recently reached profitability. It also plans to expand across Europe and the US.
