The iHeartPodcast Awards head to SXSW

• The iHeartPodcast Awards will be held this year at SXSW in Austin TX on March 11. The event will be held at the Fairmont Hotel, and available as a live stream.

• Resso, the music and podcast service in India run by the owners of TikTok, is to close. In other countries, Resso has been replaced by TikTok Music; Resso was closed in India after a request by the Indian government: TikTok itself is banned there.

• Zach Kahn, until recently the PR person for Apple Podcasts but tweeting personally, shares his 2024 Podcasting Wishlist. “Make shorter shows”, he suggests, “trust your gut”, and “let the past die”.

• Headliner looked at numbers from its service in 2023. Used in 193 countries across the world, it exported more than 34 years-worth of podcasting content.
