  • Edison Research has cancelled its in-person unveiling of their Infinite Dial 2020 research, for COVID-19 reasons. You can sign up for the live webinar - Mar 19, 1pm Eastern; and they promise an extended Q&A session.

  • To help schools move to online classes and aid the spread of reliable information, Buzzsprout is providing free pro accounts for those working to combat COVID-19 for the duration of the pandemic - including schools, government entities and NGOs, non-profits or first-responders combatting the coronavirus.

  • Resonate Recordings, Slate, Google and other organisations are working from home. Resonate Recordings have also posted their list of podcasts on the subject, while Slate looks at what happens when the schools close, as they already have in many countries.

  • Radio France’s France Culture radio station has launched Radiographies du coronavirus, a compilation podcast of off-air segments from the radio station about the coronavirus.

  • The Podcast Movement Las Vegas meetup on Apr 21 has been cancelled (since the NAB Show is too). Podcade 20, in Maryland, has also been cancelled.

  • If you’re wondering, here is the AP’s styleguide for the coronavirus. Use “the” when writing about the coronavirus, which isn’t capitalised; however COVID-19 is in all-caps. (Hat-tip: Splice Slugs)

  • I’m curious. Are any podcast hosts acting responsibly in terms of removing podcasters who are promoting fake 'cures’ for the coronavirus? Is there any evidence of anyone (podcast hosts or directories) enforcing the spread of reliable information by removing nonsense? editor@podnews.net
