Pacific Content has just posted the first post in a five-part series about the new Google podcasting strategy.

The Vancouver-based podcast company, which makes original podcasts with brands, was given an interview with Google Podcasts Product Manager, Zack Reneau-Wedeen.

It turns out there’s a fully-fledged podcast experience, with subscriptions, a 'top podcasts’ list, and personalised recommendations already installed on most Android phones. There’s more in the interview; including a bold aim:

We want to create an environment on Android where it’s just as easy to get started [as an iPhone], and it’s actually the best experience possible for discovering and listening to podcasts.

Your usual edition of podnews will come in the next hour; but we thought this so important, you should know as soon as we did.
