Al Jazeera (Doha, Qatar) launches Jetty, a new podcast network. NiemanLab reports that it plans to “groom some new voices and bring more perspectives to the table and embrace diversity in all sorts of ways”. (As a matter of interest, Al Jazeera streams on YouTube in 1080p).

In Wrexham in the UK, the Daily Post covers a farmer making a podcast, Rock & Roll Farming. “The podcast, which features a different farmer or industry representative each week, now gets more than 1,000 downloads per episode.”
