It’s everyone’s nightmare: a podcast where everyone is talking over one another. It’s one of the most irritating things for listeners, and it makes life almost impossible for podcast editors. AI can now help with that - AudioShake has launched a tool to separate overlapping voices - there is a demo in the release - and the tool is already integrated into Wondercraft.

Exclusive: HerMoney has partnered with Evergreen and Rhapsody Voices for sales and distribution. The show is hosted by Jean Chatzky, and marks an expansion of Evergreen’s business podcasts channel. The show was previously with Airwave.

Podcast production tool Alitu now records video. “When you’re done, you’ll get an MP4 download with all participant videos neatly arranged in a grid - ready to upload straight to YouTube without any additional editing.” It’s available to every customer with no additional cost.

Podcastle has added what it calls “the world’s largest library of AI voices”. The company is also adding a new version of its voice cloning tool, which gives reduced processing times and greater fidelity to the original voice. The release includes one of the company’s stock voices reading it.

Your audiobook reader might be AI in future. Spotify added audiobooks using AI voices by ElevenLabs at the end of last month: the use of AI voices will be marked in the book metadata and the audio. And, last week, Futuri Media launched FuturiBooks, using broadcast-quality AI voices tuned to “perform”.

Plink, a method of making “smart podcast links”, stopped working for paid members in early Feb. By Mar 5, the problem was partially fixed; the company currently suggests that episode links may still be intermittent for those users.
