  • The success of Gimlet Media’s Homecoming TV adaptation may have shown the way forward for television adaptations of podcasts, says Firstpost.

  • Bossjock - a tool used by live podcasters on iOS devices - is now called Backpack Studio. The App Store blurb says “It mixes your show for you, so you can focus on being creative.”

  • Spreaker have released “evolution stats”, showing each episode’s listening stats for 30 days from release. “This gives a much clearer picture than your daily trending charts which don’t give an overview of your individual episode performance”, they say.

  • In a new episode of Chartable Radio, we learn that there have been 200,000 new podcasts in 2018. A quarter of all podcast reviews (on Apple and Stitcher) were written this year, too.
