    The Podcast Show London is to return this May, and the event organisers have released the first set of speakers and more detail on the event. A new feature this year will be The Creator Village, sponsored by Spreaker: a special space for creators including a pop-up podcast studio, a business advice and feedback hub, and a Creator Stage with talks.     At The Podcast Show, Pod Save the UK host Nish Kumar discussed the concept of impartiality in news coverage: in the UK, broadcast media is required by law to be impartial. "It's a noble aim, but social media has changed perceptions," he said, adding that audiences are tired of impartial phrasing being used to sanitise, or even minimise, some peoples' actions.

    At The Podcast Show 2023 in London, it was announced that Edison Podcast Metrics are coming to the UK. Edison Podcast Metrics UK will be the first podcast ranker in the country, and will use a quarterly survey of at least 2,000 weekly podcast listeners. The company's release includes indicative data of the top five shows (none of which are from the BBC); the first full set of data will be unveiled for subscribers in Q3.

    Goalhanger Podcasts is to switch to Spotify's Megaphone and the Spotify Audience Network. The company is currently with Acast, and produces some of the largest shows in the UK including The Rest Is Politics. The companies will jointly announce their new relationship at The Podcast Show in London tomorrow.

    UK radio station Podcast Radio is now releasing interviews from The Podcast Show in London, called The Interviews. Each day for three weeks, a new interview is made available on Podcast Radio's original content listen-back RSS feed. This content can also be heard in rotation on Podcast Radio itself.

    In London, The Podcast Show 2022 has unveiled their final programme, less than a week before the event.     It's less than a month to go until The Podcast Show 2022 in London, on May 25-26. The website currently lists 196 speakers (more on the way). Speaking to the Podland podcast yesterday, Tom Billington said that YouTube will be a partner at the event, sponsoring the "Talking Podcasts" stages. YouTube say it will "facilitate conversations with Podcasters who have found success on YouTube, while also leaning on other platform experts to help delegates understand best practices and the various podcast trends emerging on and off-YouTube."
