Another podcast hosting company Podigee has also launched a mobile app, on iOS and Android. The tool offers analytics, publishing and notifications.

Yesterday, we mentioned that Apple Podcasts had mistakenly included Libsyn as a company supporting Podcasting 2.0’s transcripts feature. Libsyn had criticised the standard and clarified it didn’t support the feature. Today, we note they’ve disappeared from the list - along with Acast, Firstory, Pinecast, Podigee, Simplecast, Ximalaya and ZenCast. (We think Fireside and Pinecast support transcripts, incidentally).

Podcast host Podigee is celebrating its tenth anniversary. The company is based in Berlin, Germany.

The Made by Google podcast returned yesterday (switching hosts from Podigee to Acast). The announcement tells us to "subscribe on Google Podcasts (of course), Apple Podcasts, Spotify, or wherever you get your podcasts". The newest podcast platform made by Google is, of course, YouTube, but this podcast from Google hasn't been uploaded there.

In Germany, the launch of the Podigee Ad Marketplace has been announced. The hosting and analytics company has partnered with Seven.One Audio, which is part of ProSiebenSat1, a large media company.
