There have been a number of job cuts at Canada’s Rogers Sports & Media. Among wider cuts throughout the company, casualties include Jordan Heath-Rawlings - host and EP of The Big Story - alongside Mary Jubran, an Editor and Audience Development specialist, and producers Robyn Simon and Joseph Fish. Earlier this year, Rogers closed Pacific Content; the company’s strategy appears to be a focus on a shrinking radio business.

Another team formerly of Pacific Content is working with former clients. Jeff Blundell and Jenn Sunnerton of Broadcast You have hired three former Pacific Content staffers, and are working on shows like Tell Me What Happened from OnStar, and another show from Vertex. “The goal is to bring the same incredibly high standard of content that PCC did, but deliver it with a more modern, more fulsome approach,” we’re told.

After the company closed earlier this year, two former Pacific Content leaders have officially launched a new podcast production studio, named Sequel. Tori Allen and Andy Sheppard recruited former Pacific Content colleagues and started production in July; Sequel will serve existing and new clients.
