    Nordic Crimes is new today from Nils Bergman, the creator of Rättegångspodden, Sweden's largest commercial podcast - but this new series will be in English, looking at crimes across the five Nordic countries. From Acast, the first season will look at Finland's criminal history from the 1970s to the present day.

    From Airwave: Season 3 of The Art of Crime is titled Queen of Crime: Madame Tussaud and the Chamber of Horrors. It chronicles Madame Tussaud’s long and distinguished career, kicking off in pre-revolutionary France and wrapping up in Victorian London; and charts the evolution of the Chamber of Horrors, a special showroom in Tussaud's wax museum that displayed effigies of notorious criminals. Just as each episode advances the narrative of Tussaud’s life story, each is also structured around at least one noteworthy criminal or crime depicted in the Chamber.

The show examines the rise and fall of a Dubai-based super cartel, a network of European criminal entrepreneurs believed to control a third of Europe’s drug market.     "Criminal gangs behind a rise in bombings and shootings in Sweden in recent years are using fake Spotify streams to launder money", is the unusual claim in Swedish newspaper Svenska Dagbladet. The article, reported in The Guardian, suggests that Swedish gangster rap is actually funding Swedish gangsters. Spotify says it has not found “any data or hard evidence that indicates that the platform is being used at scale in the fashion described”.

    A San Francisco meditation company, which was described as a criminal cult in a BBC podcast, has failed in an attempt to sue for libel. A similar claim by an individual practitioner, Rachel Cherwitz, has been allowed to proceed. The case continues.
January 13, 2023:
    Code Name Siren launched yesterday - a new true crime show from Storic Media. It's hosted by Nina Hobson, a former UK police detective and owner of a global private investigation firm who's seen it all: murder, human trafficking, and billion-dollar money laundering schemes. You can expect first-hand accounts from psychological experts, operatives, criminal informants, and the victims of the crimes she investigates.
December 16, 2022:
    Luminary's Telephone Stories is now available on all platforms - a show examining the hall of mirrors that was Michael Jackson’s life, painstakingly, sometimes painfully, reconstructing the complex narrative of an iconic and troubled performer haunted by criminal allegations. It was produced by Ninth Planet Audio.
November 30, 2022:
    New from The E.W. Scripps Company, Verified: Full Disclosure is the story of what happens when US law enforcement officials routinely fail to track dishonest and disreputable police officers, disclose their misconduct in criminal cases and hold them accountable. It launched yesterday, and has produced a public, searchable database of dishonest police officers.
October 18, 2022:

The Last Resort is new from Warner Music Group’s in-house podcast network, Interval Presents, and looks at Calexit, the campaign for Californian Independence, and how the movement’s founders became entangled in a global criminal conspiracy involving the FBI and Russian Intelligence.     Paul Bae has announced he is to produce two original fiction series for Spotify. Meanwhile, music website Digital Music News dialed up the pressure on Spotify's bootleg podcasts problem. "One cannot help wondering how much longer the world’s largest music-streaming service will stand by while criminals flagrantly violate the law," the website says.
