Stew Redwine, Head of Creative at Oxford Road and host of the award-winning podcast Ad Infinitum is venturing into fiction podcasting with Gypsy Vampire Slayers from Kansas. In 1990, four teenagers in Faith, Kansas, are forced to choose between devotion and doubt as they confront an ancient evil determined to destroy their town. It's co-created with Audio Producer Zach Hahn.

Since 2021, there has been a 39% increase in the amount of ads in podcast shows - so says podcast advertising agency Oxford Road, which has launched a new report: “The Danger of Rising PodLoad”. Higher adload means ads perform worse, says the company: suggesting the “Oxford Clock” - a maximum of six minutes of ads an hour, spaced evenly throughout.

Using AI, the tool scans podcast episodes in their entirety, enabling it to spot instances of ad hominem attacks that occur at any point in a program, so brands can avoid getting caught in the crossfire. First look: vanity URLs are the best way to get attribution for advertising in your podcast, right? Not according to new research published this morning from Bambee and Oxford Road. "It's time to toss vanity URLs onto the bonfire", says Oxford Road CEO Dan Granger, preferring a "How Did You Hear About Us" method, which asks listeners, rather than them having to remember a URL. The data suggests it's more than 7 times more successful capturing podcast attribution this way. Expect more details later today at Oxford Road's website.
