In Germany, podcast hosting company Audiorella has introduced a booking tool for publishers. The first customer is German media and newspaper company Funke Mediengruppe. Audiorella was formerly known as Julep Hosting.

Libsyn bought Julep Media, a German podcast advertising company, in Aug 2022; but it’s emerged that Julep Media is now independent again, after the original Julep management team bought the company back in March. David Mossler is the new CEO. Julep’s podcast hosting has been spun off to a new company called Audiorella, run by Christian Rymarenko, former Julep COO.

Javier Huertas has been hired as Country Director, and Madelón Lánchez as Partner Manager, for new Spanish offices for Libsyn's Julep Media. Steffen Hopf has been made Head of International at Libsyn; and Maik Lenze is now Country Director for DACH.

Podcast startup Auddy has purchased Audiomy, a podcast advertising company focused on the German language region of Europe with access to around 450 podcasts, 70 from Austria. No terms were given. Auddy announced the closure of their £2.5m investment round earlier this month. Podcast host Libsyn also recently purchased a German podcast company.

Libsyn is expanding to Europe by acquiring German podcast company Julep Media. The company is Germany’s largest independent platform for podcast advertising, and gives Libsyn opportunities across Europe: adding to the company's other advertising acquisitions of AdvertiseCast in April 21, Podgo in Nov 21, and Podcast Ad Reps in Feb 22.

In Germany, Julep Hosting has enhanced their dynamic ad insertion tool to switch all ads in an entire podcast. The service also adds an impression capping tool, allowing ads to be automatically switched out once they reach enough plays.

German podcast hosting company Julep Hosting has launched "Dynamic Baked-in", a system that allows a bridge between baked-in advertising and DAI - allowing messages to be replaced with updated audio. It's a first for the German market, the company says.

Podcast host Whooshkaa claims it's the first podcast host to recertify for the IAB Podcast Guidelines v2.1. (Julep Hosting from Germany was first to certify for this new standard).

Julep Hosting is now IAB certified: the first podcast hosting company from Germany to have achieved certification. They're also the first company in the world to have achieved certification to the new v2.1 standard. We've updated our list of podcast hosts.
