She is one of Australia’s most successful authors, thought leaders and entrepreneurs, now Sarah Wilson is set to embark on her wildest project to date in a new PodcastOne Australia series, Wild with Sarah Wilson.

Sarah is a former leading Aussie journalist, TV presenter, author and activist, known best for her New York Times bestsellers I Quit Sugar and First, We Make the Beast Beautiful. She now builds and enables charity projects that “engage humans with each other” and campaigns on mental health and climate issues. Sarah ranks as one of the top 200 most influential authors in the world and has a combined digital audience of 2.5 million.

Globally today, there is a sense of overwhelm, numbness and climate anxiety in society. Our rampant consumption – of stuff, social media and fake news - has left us despairing. Now, Sarah explores these big themes through a spiritual, political and philosophical lens, sharing techniques for living a wilder and bigger life.

Sarah has hiked the world, living out of one bag for eight years, to understand the need to reconnect with life again and now speaks with the big minds she met en route about how they do it. Sarah’s passion for conversation and eagerness for connection has now driven her to initiate deep chats with some of the world’s smartest leaders and thinkers about how to wake up to what matters.

Throughout the series, listeners will be treated to intimate and raw conversations about these leaders’ wild ideas and life practices, in engaging and very emotional exchanges led by Sarah.

Sarah brings it home as she speaks to some of Australia’s best homegrown names including Australian singer-songwriter Sia, Australian meditation coach Tim Brown and recently retired Australian rugby league legend and activist, David Pocock.

From across the Pacific, American best-selling author and marketing guru Seth Godin, American Jungian psychoanalyst James Hollis and Dutch historian and best-selling author Rutger Bregman share their perspective on how to live a bolder and edgier life. American climate psychologist Margaret Klein Salamon joins Sarah to change the tone in a discussion about the reality of a life cut short by climate change.

“I am driven to continue a journey I started ten years ago, to take leaps into the unknown so that I can best connect with this one wild and precious life I get to have on this planet. When we connect deeply with something, we can best fight to save it,” Sarah said.

“I’ve played in TV, magazines, radio, newspapers, digital publishing and book publishing. But the deep chats I get to have on this podcast has taken me to the truest and most expansive place in my career.”

SCA Head of Entertainment and News Content – Digital Audio, Sam Cavanagh, said: “Sarah is one of Australia’s most unique and outspoken talents. From sugar, to anxiety, and the climate crisis, she is drawn to tackling the difficult issues. This podcast format gives her an opportunity to explore ideas in a way her audience has never heard before.”
