WNYC Studios, the leading producer of critically-acclaimed podcasts Radiolab, 2 Dope Queens, The New Yorker Radio Hour and Here’s The Thing with Alec Baldwin is opening to Australian advertisers, thanks to a deal between the US-based giant and Sydney-based Whooshkaa.

The WNYC Studios partnership further swells the number of globally-popular audio shows of every genre already under the Whooshkaa umbrella. Whooshkaa Founder and CEO Robert Loewenthal said his team was excited to represent WNYC Studios in Australia and the Pacific. WNYC Studios is a subsidiary of New York Public Radio, a leading producer of radio and on-demand content, headquartered in New York City.

“This partnership will allow Australian listeners to hear targeted Australian content in the advertising space on WNYC Studios podcasts, and allow Australian advertisers to reach even more local podcast listeners,” Mr Loewenthal said. “We are proud to add WNYC Studios’ impressive stable of podcasts to Whooshkaa’s growing list, which includes shows from the Australian Radio Network, Wondery, Sky News, Fox Sport, the Sports Entertainment Network and more.”
